While i was watching the movie I learned that theres alot more to looking out for dangers in eating food. Its scary to think that a little boy died from just eating one cheese burger when i eat cheese burgers too. Food poisoning is a big fear of mine and companies should be shut down if they dont pass frequent tests.
Also i found it wicked disturbing what they did with the chickens, pigs, and cows. I hate watching how the meat is made and stuff its wicked disguisting and makes me not want to eat meat at all. Its sad watching them die and be tortured and killed. The chickens actually sounded like they were screaming no it was wicked depressing.
I learned from the video how awful companies treat animals and how disgusting the process is. People don't even use gloves when they are touching the food which grosses me out
yea people, take a good long look `cause that's what you eat! and this movie doesn't even cover 1/2 of it! any questions don't be shy, i've been studying this stuff for years!
I was a vegetarian for a few years due to the treatment of animals in the food industry. ~this video was alot like the others that I have already seen, but I did learn that the animals are fed corn instead of their normal grass diets to make them grow quicker. They're bodies cannot support the new weight and often times their legs break.
"just306225 said... Animals are treated very bad" -they are treated very inhumanely.. and it's sad because they are being killed for you to eat. :[
I learned from watching this video how gross the process of making packaged meat it. It was wicked gross to see how they make cheesburgers for fast food places, the meat is barely even meat at the end of the process. It makes me never want to eat fast food again.
1. i learned that in chicken houses they dont vent them an its just a bunch of fat chickens who sometimes cant even walk because of the added weight that they gain by eating the special food. 2. the company that kills chickens at his home is considerded humain compared to the way they do it in factories.
I learned from watching the movie that they make the chicken's really fat so they cant run away from them when they try to kill them, also that they do very gross things to the animals
I learned that alot of the farms that hold the animals treat them pretty badly. Referring to ryan66's comment I aswell think how they produce food is interesting.
from the movie i learned the horrors that go into the making of our food that a good percentage of americans do not see

i agree with that, the movie made you realize you should really think about some things you eat
I learned that sometimes the food that we eat is from animals that are killed inhumanely and we don't know it.
Shelbi said that food companies should be shut down if they don't pass frequent tests. I agree, because the food industry supplies so many people that it isn't safe to just have them checked once in a while.
In Food, Inc. we meet Barbara Kowalcyk, whose 2 year old son, Kevin, died from E.coli poisoning after eating a hamburger. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 76 million Americans are sickened, 325,000 are hospitalized and 5,000 die each year from foodborne illnesses. Although Kevin's law is not pending in Congress right now, there are other important national food safety legislation pending now for you to support.
Me Personaly i agree with cam i think that as long as we get meat i could care less because i am a big meat fan that is pretty much all i eat Mcdonalds rocks!!!!!
from watching the video i learned that before regulations by the FDA the foot industry could put basically whatever they wanted into their products without telling consumers.
Upon watchimg the video, I learned that the food industry is under much scrunity about their procedures, workers, and quality.

I saw them throwing chickes into some machine to kill them.
ReplyDelete~Emily
The chickens were over bread to the point where it was unhealthy for them to live in such a confined place.
ReplyDeleteThey were also over fed and had so many steriods in them that they got to heavy to walk and their bones became to weak to hold them up.

Food these days is made out of corn and corn related products and it fattens and fills people up rather than nurishing them

ReplyDeleteFrom watching the food inc movie I learned that workers don't have very good insurance or they have no insuance at all. :(
ReplyDeleteI learned that workers are not getting rights they deserve
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same thing Fulmine
ReplyDeletesome people should start paying attention to what we eat
ReplyDeleteThe food industry is giving up worker safety for maximum profit
